Family

My mom and step-dad came down last weekend for a couple days.  It was so nice to see them!  Mom hadn't been down for over a year.  They were in town for my nephew's baptism.  The first stop (Mom's favorite) was Guadalajara.  Mom LOVES this restaurant, namely their cheese enchiladas.  The girls were so excited to see Nana!

We were also able to spend some time with 2 of my stepsisters. It was a bunch of fun! Look at all our kids!
The kids had a blast trying to pick up one another. I'm just thankful none of them got hurt!Baby G still wasn't completely sure about the Nana.  He warmed up though.
One last mexican food dinner.  This place had the BEST beef fajitas I have ever tasted.  And I don't even like beef fajitas!  I can't wait to go back and eat there again.
It was a fast and furious trip, but a fun one.  It was great to spend time with my step-family.  They are awesome people with super-cute kids!!!  And mommy, I miss you already!

I've been at training all week and our 2 day Christmas party...it was AWESOME! and this is the first time I've been on the computer in 2 days. I miss you too! I love the post...honestly Lupe Tortillas was better than Guadalajara's. My enchiladas were luke warm. We went back on Sunday before we flew out and had the fajitas, oh my goodness, why had I not eaten at this place before???!!! Susan, thanks for calling that dinner was there on Saturday. It will definitely be on our "Must Stop" list!! It's been such a busy week, and it was so good to read your blog and the new baby blogs! Great to be back in the 'real world'!
Love you! Mom

I'm jelous. Wish I could've been there. When I do come down I have to make all the Mexican Rest. stops. I've been to none of them.

It was nice seeing you last weekend. Why don't we get together more often? We could meet at Lupe Tortilla, trash the place and then go back to our spotless homes in peace. Sound like a plan? I'll have my people call your people.

I really like the group picture, it's priceless. I especially like Sallie's hurry-up-and-take-the-picture smile. ;)

Ta Die Fa!

And I'm so glad you think so to nicole!!!

We had a blast. I love this blog, I must say.

Dad, you have a cute smile and weston.....did you not get anything to eat???

is Ike camera shy sal?

(just kidding, believe me I know the answer)

Ya, the parentals should definately come visit more...hey nicole, maybe Lupe's will be just what they need to encourage an extra trip now and then....you've got to keep the inner Texan happy Debbie with plenty of "real" mexican food!!

Don't let too much time pass before y'all come again.

Seriously hope to see everyone soon!

Thanks Susan! We had so much fun! I can't say that Lupe tops Guadalajara, it zoomed right up there in the same league though. Quite an accomplishment from only one meal (Sunday's lunch was fabulous!!)
I'll be coming to San Antonio in March for Chris' homecoming...we haven't gotten details yet and don't know if we'll be able to make Houston part of that trip as it will be a short one. We know we'll be down in mid August or early September for Miss K's baptism...probably a quick trip like it was for last weeks trip. This year we didn't go anywhere and I think both of realize how important it is to get away and to see all of the Texas g-kids was beyond wonderful for both of us. We won't let so much time go by again...we'll be figuring out these trips and we'll make them work even if they are short!
Love, Debbie
