Happy belated birthday dear blog!

I missed my little blog's birthday which was on March 22nd. Better late than never, right? I just love blogging! It is such a great way to vent frustrations, share successes and failures, and keep track of life in general. Now I just need to submit it all for a book on blurb.com. That way I can actually count it as journalling. :)

Channelling my inner Ariel

I've always wanted to be a redhead. I LOVE red hair. But God did not give me red hair. He gave me blonde. Not that blonde is bad at all, but I was ready for a change. So I took a big gulp and dove right into life as a redhead! Check it out! (Please excuse my lack of makeup).

K doesn't like it, but she has started planning an "Under the Sea" play for Family Home Evening. And B loves it and thinks that I look like Ariel from the Little Mermaid. G got a preview in the middle of the coloring process and looked at me with a quizzical look and then pointed to his hair. The hubby hasn't seen it yet, but has been warned.

And my wonderful husband bought a very nice washer and dryer set. He was excited to flex his negotiating muscles.

It's a Kenmore Elite Oasis. It's a top loader and a BIG one...,.4.5 cubic feet of beautiful washing magic! Now to tackle all the stinky laundry courtesy of my baby boy.

Isn't it ironic?

I thought of that Alanis Moresset song with the events of yesterday. Baby G has caught the nasty Rotavirus which totally sucks, but it's dealable. So with him exploding from both ends (trust me, it's not pretty), the laundry is piling up quick. And what does my washer decide to do? It dies. Dead. So for family night tonight, we're hitting the laundry mat and Lowe's to get a new washer & dryer.

I've added more pictures to the kids' blog, so don't forget to check them out: Muggle Kids

Here are a few more pictures from our trip to SA to visit my family.

My little brother is home!

We got to welcome my little brother home today from his mission. He's served for 2 years in California. We are so grateful for the hard work he has done, and we are so thankful that he is now home! Here are the pictures from his first few hours home.

Happy Anniversary!

Just wanted to say HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to my wonderful mother and her sweet husband, George! I hope you guys had a wonderful day! Love you guys!

My first

I had my first video chat ever on Sunday night! My sister, Suzi, and I have tried to do it a few times, but we kept getting errors. But it finally worked on Sunday night! It was so cool to see her pregnant belly (and TOTALLY weird at the same time!) We made a date for us to chat again so my kids could see and talk to Aunt Suzi. So on Monday afternoon she chimed in. The kids LOVED it! B was too shy to get on camera, so she kept shoving a stuffed monkey in the way. Baby G thought it was the coolest thing EVER!!! I think he was more excited to see himself on the computer than Aunt Suzi. (Sorry girl!) It was really cute. He kept waving and signing "baby."

Technology is so wonderful! It is an amazing thing that we can keep in touch with such ease. Leave me a message if you are on any instant messengers. I'm on AOL, MSN, and Yahoo. :D

Making life easier

I'm sure I'm the last person to know about this, but just in case I'm not...this one's for you!

I just discovered Google Reader. It's a free service that will track all of your blogs and favorite news sources. You simply log into your google account, enter the URL's of the blogs you want it to track, and voila! There are all of your blogs! So you don't have to go to each individual blog to check and see if they have updated.

The one draw back is it can't track blogs that are set to private. But since I only have a handful of private blogs that I check, I can live with it. And you can't leave comments from it, and since we all know what a loud mouth I am, that's going to be a bit tricky. But you can click right on the update and it will take you to the blog to leave a comment. Whew!

Crazy week

Short post for this week...

I am in charge of the activities at church for the women and we have our BIG dinner activity this Thursday. Life is totally crazy! So hopefully I'll be feeling a little less frazzled by Friday. I did post a short post on Feeding My Soul if you are interested. :)
