Not much happening

Not too much is going on. The kids are getting ready to get out of school in a couple days. Let the craziness begin! We're excited though. The girls are having all of their end-of-year programs and activities. (Check out their blog for some pictures and video clips).

My nausea has, for the most part, gone away. Only to be replaced with daily migraines. Ugh! I told body HATES being pregnant. I'm still not showing, but it usually takes me awhile. I do get to have a full-blown ultra sound at my 16 week appointment to check on a cyst on one of my ovaries, so I'm hoping the technician will be nice and take a quick peek in between the baby's legs. Wouldn't that be nice? I've already been told to go back on my diabetic diet. (I had gestational diabetes with my 3rd pregnancy). So I'm trying to be good with that. It sucks though. But I refuse to start testing my blood until I absolutely have to.

The Twilight obsession continues. I've reread all the books and just ordered my own copies from The best fansite I have found thus far is It's pretty good at updating with what is going on with Stephenie Meyer, the books, and the movie. They also have some good discussion forums. A lot of teens posting to go through though. I've also found, but they have to approve your membership before you can log in, and I haven't been approved yet. Oh well.

It's official

I am totally hooked! I read New Moon and Eclipse in two days. I couldn't read them fast enough! I think Eclipse is my favorite of the three. I loved all the emotion, all the choices, all the relationships.

So, of course, with my ADD and tendency to hyper-focus, I am gobbling up anything and everything Twilight online. I've read everything on Stephenie Meyer's website. I love all the outtakes and FAQ's. And don't even get me started about Midnight Sun! She has the first chapter of of the book, which is Twilight from Edward's point of view, on the site. Oh so good!!!

The fourth book in the series, Breaking Dawn, will be out August 2nd. Heck yeah! But wait! There's a little bonus...on May 31st, a special edition of Eclipse is coming out with the first chapter from Breaking Dawn included. I am SO there!

For my fellow Twilighters, have you found a fan site that you really like? The ones I have checked out I haven't been crazy about.

Everyone else was reading it....

So blog after blog, I read how amazing Twilight is by Stephenie Meyer. I gave in. I borrowed the book from a friend. I couldn't put it down! It was read in a day and half. I was so intrigued by the relationships in the book. The choices and sacrifices that were made. I did not fall in love with Edward, as many of my friends have professed. Well....maybe a little crush. ;) I loved that is was clean and yet, still sensual. I will be heading out Monday morning to buy my own copy, as well as the sequels that are currently out.

**edited to add: It looks like Mrs. Meyer is LDS! Pretty cool!

And since I tend to hyper-focus on things, they are making a movie of Twilight that will hit theatres December 12th of this year. I just hope it's not rated R. It looks great from the trailer. The actor playing Edward is Rob Pattinson. He also played Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I won't complain...he's easy on the eyes. So here is the trailer:

A friend found this blog for me. It is FREAKIN' HILARIOUS!!!!!! A must-read for all you Twilight fans and your hubbies or significant others.

San Antonio Peeps.....HELP!!!!

I sent this out in an email to a few of you, but can use all the help I can get! Please leave me your input in a comment or you can email me.

Hi guys! I'm working on a business venture and need help with naming some areas in San Antonio. Below is a picture with the 4 areas I'm working on. (Please excuse the crappy Yahoo map & you can click on it to make it larger). The circles are approximate areas to kind of help give you an idea of each area. I'm including a few ideas for each area that I have come up with. You can choose from what I have come up with or come up with your own idea if mine are no good. ;) I'm looking for a 1, maybe 2 short word name to describe the
area. Thank you in advance for your help with this!

1. Northwest San Antonio - west of I-10 & south of 1604
a. Bandera
c. Leon Valley

2. North Central San Antonio - north of 1604 along 281
a. Stone Oak
b. Encino Park

3. Central San Antonio - south of 1604 along 281
a. San Pedro
b. Central
c. Bitters

4. East-Northease San Antonio - south of 1604 along I-35

Happy Mother's Day!

Today, I would like to say a "Happy Mother's Day" to my beautiful mother. She is an inspiration to me. She is constantly striving to improve herself and make her life and the lives of those around her better. She has such unwavering faith that I hope to even come close to one day. She is a very hard worker in whatever she is doing. I am eternally grateful to her for putting up with me for all of those crazy years. I don't think you can truly appreciate all a mother does until you walk in her footsteps. Thanks Mom for being a wonderful mother and friend. I love you!

PS-These are what your flowers were supposed to look like. Sorry FTD screwed it up. :(

She made it!

My sweet, little B made it into the Spanish Immersion program at her school for next year! The program starts in first grade and goes all the way into high school. K is already in it, so we are very excited to continue the tradition. We have loved the program so far with K. I think B will do wonderfully in it as well. :) How do you like the picture she took of herself?

If you like to view the Muggle Kids blog, I will be making it private. Please send me an email at mugglemom78 (at) cebridge (dot) net so I can get you an invite sent. :)

Still yucky

I'm still feeling yucky. Thank you little bean in my belly! My body just doesn't like being pregnant. Oh well! Hopefully in a few short weeks when I get out of the first trimester, I will feel a little bit better.

Something that brightens my week is American Idol. David Cook has been my favorite from pretty early on. He is so talented! I love his arrangements and his voice is AMAZING!!!!! And I love this year that they are recording full studio version for release on iTunes. I have them all (David Cook's). And yes, his version of Lionel Richie's "Hello" is my current ring tone. He reminds me of Chris Daughtry from 2 seasons ago. And look at all the success Chris Daughtry had had! His first album is AWESOME!!!!
